Overview
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Quality Technician to work at its state‑of‑the‑art facility in Sidney, NY.
Responsibilities
Technical support of customer quality issues/escapes in relation to RMAs
Product review and assistance to quality engineering with disposition, containment, and work orders
Support of corrective action responses based on customer escape issues and data
Maintain a working knowledge of product workmanship standards and the quality procedures manual
Determine rework and process work orders
Review of rejection trends
Qualifications
High school diploma and at least 5 years of applicable experience OR an associate degree in a technical curriculum and 1 year of experience in manufacturing or a manufacturing support environment
Familiarity with quote and order processing (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Data3 software
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with customers via phone and email
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and documents
Attention to detail
Proactive problem‑solving skills
Physical ability to bend, sit, type, lift, stand, etc. daily
Annual eye exam must be passed with or without corrective lenses
Location & Salary
Sidney, NY (30 minutes from Binghamton, NY; 20 minutes from Oneonta, NY) – Salary $50,000 – $65,000 per year.
