Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Field Service Technician II to support a national home improvement retail client. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality technical support and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite technical support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues within defined service levels
Perform daily ticket documentation, updates, and closures with detailed notes
Travel within a 50–125+ mile radius daily using a company-provided vehicle
Support cabling tasks including copper and fiber, as well as connector termination
Make real-time decisions in the field to ensure timely issue resolution
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
Maintain consistent reporting and time management practices
Occasionally work at heights (20–25 feet); training provided
Understand basic AC/DC power and backup power systems
Qualifications
Minimum 2 year of IT technical support experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux environments
Familiarity with networking and hardware support
CompTIA A+ certification preferred
Valid driver's license required
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
