Job Summary
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Accounting Manager based out of our Tinton, NJ office to supervise Accounts Receivable, Billing and Accounts Payable month‑end close and prepare/review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations in our LORV Region. This role is responsible for month‑end closing, reconciliations, internal controls, and oversight of the Accounts Receivable billing function while supporting operational analysis and financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in managing and maintaining system integrations between JWS, Oracle, and NetSuite, ensuring accurate data flow and proactively identifying and resolving system discrepancies. This position manages a small team and supports accurate, timely, financial reporting.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and actively support execution of month‑end close, including journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
Perform and oversee balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Own and maintain financial data integrity across ERP systems (JWS, Oracle, NetSuite), including:
Monitoring ~18 system interfaces
Investigating discrepancies
Leading resolution efforts (not just analysis)
Act as the primary point of contact for system‑related accounting issues, either resolving directly or directing corrective actions.
Review and approve journal entries while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.
Conduct variance analysis, budgeting support, and ad‑hoc financial reporting.
Partner cross‑functionally with operations, finance leadership, and auditors to support reporting and audits.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and internal controls (SOX).
Proven experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar).
Experience supporting or managing system integrations and data interfaces between financial systems.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex financial discrepancies.
Advanced Excel proficiency required.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams.
