Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Entry Level Staff Accountant at our Pleasanton, CA office. The Staff Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements and supporting schedules, managing general ledger entries, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with accounting standards, assisting with tax preparation and filings. The role involves working closely with team members and clients to deliver high-quality financial and tax services.
Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation
Proficiency in tax preparation, understanding of U.S. and international tax regulations, and ability to manage compliance
Strong skills in data analysis and reconciliation, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in public accounting or tax is a plus
CPA candidacy or desire to pursue CPA certification is preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with industries such as high-tech, healthcare, legal, real estate, or non-profits is an advantage
