Responsibilities

Serving as the HR Transactional Representative processing all personnel actions, including hiring, reappointments, and terminations for staff, graduate assistants, and OPS employees, including Work‑Study and post‑docs.

Submitting appointments and communicating with onboarding employees to gather required documents.

Tracking, monitoring, and following up with HR transactions until completion.

Serving as time and leave coordinator to ensure timely and accurate payment for all employees by monitoring active appointment reports and payroll cost center reports bi‑weekly.

Maintaining departmental tracking spreadsheets to keep HR and payroll information accurate for all employees.

Creating Graduate Assistant reappointment letters, inputting Graduate Student Mass appointments, and acting as liaison between students and the Center for Global Engagement.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency and three years of experience or a combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to three years.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing accurately in a detail‑oriented environment and meeting deadlines.

Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and willingness to learn new computer programs.

Ability to interpret and apply related university policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Salary
Starting in the mid $30,000's, commensurate with education and experience.
