HR Associate
Position in the Office of Advancement at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Job Summary
Support the recruitment process, onboarding, employee inquiries, HR administration, and assist HR Business Partner with various HR functions.
Responsibilities
Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communications, and assist with onboarding new hires.
Prepare resumes and data sheets for Search Committee.
Manage panel calendars and interview room scheduling.
Conduct interview scheduling and candidate follow‑up.
Create staff letters of offer, initiate background checks, process salary approvals, and complete HCM hiring process.
Streamline training opportunities.
Act as point of contact for employee inquiries and provide accurate information.
Maintain employee records, prepare HR documents, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Organize and execute HR programs and initiatives, such as training sessions, employee engagement activities, and performance management processes.
Use Human Capital Management (HCM) system for various HR tasks.
Use Smartsheet to track HR processes.
Assist with team retreat agendas and logistics.
Provide Human Resources guidance to various divisions.
Serve as backup to the HR Business Partner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, operations, organizational leadership, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
Combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may substitute for the degree on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an academic medical center or higher education.
Experience utilizing Human Capital Management (HCM), Smartsheet, and CU Careers.
Experience with recruitment, job evaluations, and candidate sourcing.
Competencies
Analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations to exercise good judgment in HR.
Knowledge of recruitment and selection, employee relations, organizational development, and HR policy.
Effective communication, both written and oral, including public speaking.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels.
Commitment to advancing policies, programs, and practices addressing social injustices and health disparities.
Knowledge of current management and leadership methods.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
Attention to detail in complex processes.
