Job Description
Imaging Tech Representative II – West Hills, CA, Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Pay
range: $20.01 — $22.95 / hour. Eligible for shift differential (10% on second shift, 15% on third shift). Additional details provided with offer. Salary considers skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market and organizational factors. Eligible for annual performance bonus.

This position is responsible for preparing and scanning requisitions and learning all functions of the Imaging Technician I and added responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Instrument maintenance:
Daily cleaning and inspection of equipment
Change ancillary equipment (ink cartridge, skimmer roller, bulbs) as needed
Initiate vendor calls when needed
Inventory control of supplies
Scanning & performance tasks:
Access and navigate imaging software and LIS
Print batch header sheets
Monitor images on screen and take appropriate action to ensure quality
Resolve images in the Quality Review process
Box requisitions and attachments for Billing
Completed necessary training consistent with local business unit practices. Prior to promotion to this level, the Imaging Technician II must demonstrate strong proficiency in all areas noted above.
Engage in more complex processing:
Instrument operation and preventive maintenance
Scanning documents, quality review
Workflow management within Imaging
Specific functions require additional data entry skills and good written/verbal communication
Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards for Imaging Technician I.
Solve more complex problems on a routine basis.
Identify problems with preparing and scanning requisitions, including missing labels, staples, paper clips, rubber bands, tape, ripped pages, adhesives, loose scripts, instrument maintenance, QR, etc., and resolve or forward to Group Lead/ Supervisor.
Learn the job duties assigned to the Imaging Assistant II, develop understanding of how functions in Specimen Processing and Remote Sites work together and impact service quality.
Meet quality and production standards within 1 month of completing training.
Complete all required written documentation that is understandable, legible, and within assigned timeframe.
Report to work on time, follow attendance guidelines, support department performance during coworker absences.
Learn additional functions within Imaging to allow timely progression to next level.
Adhere to Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures, including safety and compliance.
Keep work area neat and clean; comply with 5S workplace standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred work experience: at least 1 year in a production setting.
Familiarity with personal computers, basic Windows-based software, and good typing skills.
Preferred familiarity with mainframe computer operating system.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Work in a biohazard environment in compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
Able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Maneuver large carts and/or racks with documents.
Knowledge
Understanding of requisition types
Requisition handling and delivery
Understanding of compliance regulations related to PHI

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
