Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free‑standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. We provide evidence‑based outpatient and inpatient programs across multiple locations in Washington state.
Position Summary
Utilization Review Coordinator
performs all functions related to the use of hospital resources and reimbursement. As a liaison between payers, the business office, and the treatment team, the coordinator provides information and feedback to assist in optimum patient care and reimbursement.
Responsibilities
Perform utilization review functions related to hospital resources and reimbursement.
Act as liaison between payers, business office, and treatment team.
Provide timely information and feedback to support optimal patient care and reimbursement.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mental health, social work or an ADN in nursing required; BSN or Master’s preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of behavioral health utilization experience preferred; Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric health care setting required.
Additional requirements: Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De‑Escalation certifications provided by the facility upon hire.
