Base Salary:

Entry hourly rates: Noontime Aide $16.53/hr; Special Education Clerk $16.83/hr; ISS Monitor $18.41/hr

Hours per day:

2 hours for Noontime Aide; 1 hour for Special Education Clerk; 1 hour for ISS Monitor. Total position is 4 hours per day.

New Hire Experience:

1% for two or more years of full‑time experience and an additional 1% per year, not to exceed 5%.

New Hire Education:

1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a comparable field, combined with work‑experience credit, not to exceed 5%.

NOONTIME AIDE JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Goal:

Monitor and supervise the activities of children in the cafeteria or other facility.

Minimum Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to work with children at different age levels

Some experience in rearing, supervising, or working with children

Good human‑relations skills

Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules

Maintain surveillance of the assigned area to assure safe and responsible conduct

Foster and maintain effective relationships with students

Monitor the activities of students at play or in the cafeteria

Counsel and intervene to prevent unacceptable behavior

Refer disciplinary cases to the appropriate authority

Report unauthorized persons on school premises

Notify the school health office in case of an accident

Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed

Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position

SPECIAL EDUCATION CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Goal:

Perform a variety of clerical services, following standardized procedures, in an assigned area.

Minimum Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent

Proficiency in computer skills and applications as related to this position

Satisfactory criminal background check

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google, or similar software, with the ability to learn new or updated software

Knowledge of and adherence to district policies and procedures affecting assigned work

Core Job Functions

Perform a wide variety of clerical work, including typing, filing, coding, and preparing reports

Maintain a variety of records and files

Input information into the computer

Receive inquiries by telephone or in person and reply accordingly

Assist as needed when other staff members are absent

Maintain confidentiality of student and staff member information even after no longer employed or enrolled in CUSD schools

Accept responsibility for student well‑being and safety while in the employee’s care

Perform other duties assigned that support the overall objective of the position

ISS MONITOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Goal:

Monitor students in a self‑contained classroom and provide behavioral and instructional support.

Minimum Qualifications

High‑school diploma or equivalent

AA degree or 60 semester credit hours or successful completion of an AZ state‑approved competency exam

Ability to operate standard office equipment, including all Microsoft Office and Google programs

Satisfactory criminal background check

Vision and hearing are adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner

Monitor students as they perform assignments prepared by the classroom teacher

Maintain accurate attendance records

Process intake and release forms

Monitor students for on‑task behavior

Physical Requirements
