We are seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher who enjoys building strong relationships with students and helping them grow as thinkers, citizens, and learners. This position serves our English‑speaking program, so Spanish fluency is not required.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver daily Social Studies instruction aligned to Michigan standards
Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student needs
Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted support
Build positive relationships with students and create a strong classroom culture
Collaborate with grade‑level and specials teachers to support the whole child
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Maintain accurate records of student performance and growth
Participate in school‑wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Social Studies (RX) or Social Science (CX) endorsement
Strong understanding of Middle School Social Studies content and best practices
Ability to differentiate instruction to support a range of student needs
Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
Willingness to contribute to a small school environment and community
