West Hartford Public Schools seeks to fill the position of a Gifted and Talented teacher for the QUEST program. The QUEST teacher inspires gifted learners by fostering curiosity through fast-paced, challenging, and high-interest lessons. Instruction will advance topics and provide a collaborative, supportive environment that promotes student intellectual, social, and emotional stimulation. Teachers deliver dynamic instruction in QUEST and Math QUEST across all facets of the program, bringing learning to life.
Qualifications
Promotes high standards of instruction, including creating and differentiating lessons for gifted students by adapting instruction, collaboration, communication, and recognition of student talent.
Fosters knowledge of best practices in specialized instruction delivery, curriculum, and assessment.
Cultivates a vibrant, supportive learning environment that aligns QUEST/Math instruction with program goals.
Demonstrates strengths in organization and communication, both spoken and written.
Must hold appropriate current CT Certification (305).
Please include a current resume, transcripts, copy of current certification and 3 letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days.
Excellent salary, benefits and working conditions. Salary: negotiable per the teacher's salary schedule.
