
Project Manager - E-commerce

We are currently looking for a Project Manager – E-commerce in Germany.
This role offers an opportunity to lead end-to-end e-commerce implementation projects within a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of complex digital commerce initiatives while maintaining strong alignment between clients, internal teams, and offshore development resources. Working in a fully remote and globally distributed setup, you will oversee project execution across Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The position requires a strong balance of technical understanding, stakeholder management, and delivery discipline. You will act as the key liaison between clients and technical teams, ensuring clarity, transparency, and high-quality outcomes. This is a high-impact role where your ability to manage scope, timelines, and relationships directly drives project success.
Accountabilities
Lead end-to-end e-commerce implementation projects using adapted Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams
Coordinate and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives with offshore teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, executives, and internal delivery teams
Oversee project documentation, reporting, and tracking using tools such as Jira and other PM systems
Monitor project performance, budgets, timelines, and resource utilization to ensure successful delivery
Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring satisfaction and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with internal project management teams to improve delivery processes and operational efficiency
Translate technical concepts into clear communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
10+ years of experience in project management, specifically within e-commerce implementations
Strong experience with platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, ServiceNow, CPQ, or similar e-commerce systems
At least 2+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment
Proven ability to lead Agile/Scrum-based project delivery across distributed, multinational teams
Strong technical understanding of software development and web technologies
Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical abilities with experience using reporting tools such as Jira dashboards, AIO, or Tableau
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
Willingness to travel occasionally (10–15%)
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion
