Job Description Summary
Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

Job Description

Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC.

Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.

Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, can paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment.

Evaluate and recommend maintenance operations upgrades or savings opportunities.

Possess competent knowledge of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.

Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests.

Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance.

Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment.

Perform carpentry and snow removal when required.

Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company policies related to building operations and safe work habits.

Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems.

Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually.

Maintain compliance with C&W Uniform Dress Code during work hours and keep a neat, clean appearance when on property outside working hours.

Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Important Experience

2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.

Valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and a clean driving record with periodic checks.

Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Ability to work extended periods without relief during priority or emergency situations, including overtime type assignments.

Willingness to work shift, weekend and on‑call duties if required.

Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing job duties, a worker may need to communicate with others, operate computers and office machinery, move about the workplace, remain stationary for brief periods, and extend hands and arms in any direction.

Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate: $21.25 - $25.00. Compensation may vary based on location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and collective bargaining agreements. No pay below minimum wage.
