This position is for the Summer at Brody and West Circle Neighborhood.
Starting pay: $14.73/hr
Residence Education & Housing Services is seeking student Facilities Building Worker team members to join our team! In this role you will complete a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: painting, furniture setting and adjustments, floor care, conference & event set-up service, parking mgmt. welcoming guests, loading, and unloading, deliveries & pick up, student room and bathroom cleaning, handling customer requests, minor maintenance & repairs [i.e. Lightbulbs/toilets], disinfecting and sanitizing, trash and recycling handling.
As a Facilities Building Worker, you will typically be responsible for activities like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash. In this role you will make sure the residence and dining halls at MSU are looking and functioning their best!
You will learn skills such as time management, hands on facilities & maintenance experience and minor maintenance skills, managing multiple competing tasks, interpersonal communication, and working independently and as a part of a diverse team. You will also gain a deep understanding of how a large residential operation is maintained while demonstrating outstanding customer service.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Helping with REHS-related moving of furniture, equipment, etc on-campus
Furniture assembly in residence halls across Brody and West Circle
Delivery services for furniture, large items, custodial equipment, and event support
Assist with Set-up and tear-down services for REHS-related events & bookings
Air conditioner cleaning, preventative maintenance, and delivery
Custodial tasks related to residence hall room cleaning and building cleaning to maintain the physical facilities that Brody/West Circle oversees.
All other duties as assigned
