Production Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
The PMT performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
The successful candidate should be very familiar with Pneumatics, Electronics, and PLC platforms, and would evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability, and yield.
The technician prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
PMT’s also perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance); troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems; and aid in equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
Perform with maintenance employees along with other technical personnel to develop proactive and effective team performance.
Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.).
Receive direction from higher‑level management.
Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.).
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations, capital expansions).
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Inspect machinery regularly for safety issues, including but not restricted to ground and trip hazards, non-functioning lights, broken pieces, etc.
Conduct proper follow‑through on all maintenance issues and ensure compliance with company safety and security standards, procedures, and policies.
Ensure maintenance personnel wear and utilize all safety equipment correctly as needed.
