Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, this Staff Accountant role will maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with regulations. The position is located in the United States, supporting our 25 innovative sites across the country.
Salary range for this position is based on candidate experience: $75,000‑$80,000 per year.
Core Responsibilities
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring reconciliations and reporting are completed on schedule.
Analyse balance sheet accounts and main variations.
Prepare monthly accruals, prepaids, and the corresponding journal entries.
Assist in preparing internal financial statements, management reports, or audit schedules.
Support the preparation of statutory financial statements (semi‑annual and annual).
Assist in internal or external audits.
Assist Accounting Manager with internal/external reporting.
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Identify unreconciled items and work to resolve them promptly.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and expense analysis/variations.
Fulfil reporting requests from the Government (quarterly and annually).
Assist in periodic benefit accruals, benefit true‑ups, and benefit accounting topics.
Support ad hoc financial analysis as required by senior management.
Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within Finance and Accounting to enhance efficiency and control (automation, process simplification, digital tools).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferably 2 years of experience in general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and preparation of basic financial statements.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and corporate frameworks.
Fluent English.
Familiarity with ERP software (e.g., SAP) and proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to adapt to updated accounting standards, digital tools, and process improvements.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong cross‑functional collaboration.
