Front Range Arborists, a division of Timberline Landscaping , is an award-winning full-service tree care company serving Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years. We offer a full range of services from tree pruning, removals, stump grinding, shrub trimming and tree spray applications.
The Tree Care Technician is responsible for providing support in trim production work in the field. Their main priorities are safety and quality. The Tree Care Technician is expected to work closely with the Foreman and Climbers to ensure maximum job efficiency.
Duties & responsibilities
Primarily responsible for: site setup as per the Foreman’s instructions, ensuring public safety around the job site, preparing tools, assisting with rigging, operating chipper and winch, and cleaning up debris
Accountable for the daily preparation of trucks and equipment
Support Climbers by preparing trucks, gathering equipment, and being ready to leave the shop on time
Ensure the work site is clean and presentable upon daily completion
Support Foreman and Climbers in completing jobs safely and on time, performing all assigned tasks
Learn from other team members, safety meetings, books, and personal experiences
Proactively communicate and obtain permission from neighbors, if necessary, to access their property for work‑related reasons
Utilize training resources such as books, seminars, videos, and networking with colleagues to improve skills and personal growth
Communicate with the Foreman regarding skills and development goals
eeds to identify on‑the‑job learning and practice opportunities
Report any crew member personnel issues to the Foreman and, if necessary, request a meeting with the Operations Manager
All team members help and support other departments when necessary, including snow removal and Christmas decor
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Understand and adhere to ANSI 300 standards for safety and quality, taking responsibility for the safety of yourself, your crew, and the public
Safely and productively operate all equipment to complete job tasks according to ANSI standards
Maintain a professional appearance, including personal hygiene and grooming, to represent the company in the best possible way
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
Must have a smartphone with the ability to download and use mobile apps
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires consistent lifting of up to 75 pounds and walking long distances daily
Assist the Foreman and Climbers in completing work orders safely, efficiently, and in a manner that exceeds customer expectations without compromising quality
Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Working in areas with steep and uneven terrain
