
Staff Development Assistant

Plaza Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Development Assistant to support our Director of Staff Development in training, onboarding, and compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for a current or former Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who has experience in education, administration, and working closely with staff to ensure excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with coordinating and conducting staff training, orientations, and in‑services
Support onboarding processes for new hires, including tracking required documentation and compliance
Maintain accurate training records
Prepare training materials, presentations, and reports
Monitor and track certifications, licenses, and continuing education requirements
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Staff Development department
Communicate effectively with staff at all levels
Present information to small and large groups in a professional and engaging manner
Preferred Skills
Experience assisting with staff education or training programs
Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
Qualifications
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred
Strong computer proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Excellent clerical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
