Patient Services Representative (PRN)
Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the North Carolina foothills, is a 355‑bed acute care hospital that also offers behavioral health services.
How You’ll Contribute
The Patient Services Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre‑certifications as requested by the provider(s). They are responsible for greeting patients, checking in, checking out, scheduling, managing telephones and messages, and collecting and posting co‑pays, deductibles, and past‑due balances at the time of service.
Performs scheduling, registration, patient pre‑admission and admission at the physician practice.
Performs reception and discharge functions.
Accurately obtains complete and accurate patient demographic information.
Performs proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during and after date of service.
