Position Summary
ROTA FREE CAREERS – Warehouse Associate with knowledge of mechanical components. On‑site at our Chicago Distribution Center (Downers Grove, IL). Full‑time, Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule (loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, shipping).
Assembly and disassemble components.
Receive, process, and label warehouse stock products (picking, unloading, storing).
Conduct inventory controls, maintaining high‑quality standards for audits.
Ensure a clean, safe working environment, optimizing space utilization.
Record activities in inventory diary logs. Report any discrepancies promptly.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Operate and proactively maintain warehouse equipment.
Adhere to quality service standards, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Technical Skills
Reading and Interpreting Documentation: Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly instructions, technical drawings, schematics, and bill of materials (BOM).
Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of mechanical components and systems, assembly techniques, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Tool Proficiency: Skill in using hand tools, power tools, measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers), and automated assembly equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Experience in identifying and resolving issues during the assembly process and performing minor repairs or adjustments.
Quality Control: Understanding of quality standards and procedures to ensure products meet specifications.
Soft Skills
Attention to Detail: Essential for precision work and following complex assembly instructions accurately.
Problem‑Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to assembly challenges.
Communication: Clearly understanding and relaying information from supervisors and team members.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with coworkers in a production or assembly line environment.
