Project Accountant | Construction
Vaco is hiring for a Project Accountant opportunity in Lino Lakes MN. Contract (4-6+ months) Onsite. Pay: $30-40/hr.

Responsibilities

Managed

full-cycle project accounting

for construction projects, including contract setup, billing, collections, and closeout processes.

Administered and improved the

contract review process , ensuring compliance with project terms, insurance requirements, and legal documentation.

Prepared and processed

AIA billings (G702/G703) , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with contract terms; resolved billing discrepancies with clients and project teams.

Maintained all

contract documentation

including certified payroll, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and payment/performance bonds.

Oversaw the

change order process

from initiation through approval and billing, ensuring proper documentation and revenue recognition.

Managed

lien rights and compliance , including tracking deadlines, preparing notices, and mitigating risk.

Applied customer payments and supported

accounts receivable and collections

efforts to maintain positive cash flow.

Handled

customer contract prequalification

processes and maintained compliance with client requirements.

Supported

project setup and maintenance

in accounting systems, including entry of contracts, subcontracts, budgets, and change orders.

Coordinated

project closeout , ensuring all financials, documentation, and compliance requirements were completed accurately and on time.
