Maintenance Handyman

About The Role
Under close supervision, the Maintenance Handyman will perform non‑technical general building maintenance, light custodial and minor repair duties. The role is onsite in Brooklyn, NY USA.
What You’ll Do
Perform general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials.
Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Maintain grounds of the facility or property, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.
Patrol grounds, common areas and parking facilities; identify and report maintenance hazards or other property condition concerns.
Perform housekeeping functions and maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas; paint and patch drywall; perform other minor repairs under supervision.
Facilitate office access and office moves by providing moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.
Maintain key inventory.
Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

A High School Diploma or general education degree.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co‑workers, and/or supervisor; calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
Ability to solve problems in standard situations.

Equal Pay Disclaimer
The minimum base salary for the Maintenance Handyman is $55,000/year ($26.45/hour) and the maximum base salary is $65,000/year ($31.25/hour). The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
