
Field / Light Maintenance Technician (Handyman)

Core Responsibilities
Perform light maintenance tasks such as:
Installing and replacing door hardware (locks, handles, closers)
Installing signage and minor fixtures
Completing basic repairs in units and common areas
Conduct annual unit and building inspections
Document findings clearly and accurately
Capture photos and create 3D tours of units and spaces
Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner
Support general property upkeep and preventative maintenance
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Communicate updates with property management and team members
Identify issues early and recommend solutions
On call for 1 week per month
Qualifications & Requirements
1–3+ years of maintenance, handyman, or similar experience
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and inspection tools
Experience with photos or 3D tour tools is a plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and repair work
Strong attention to detail and organization
Professional and respectful when working with residents and team
Work Environment & Expectations
Field-based role with travel between multiple properties
Mix of indoor and outdoor work
Physical work required (lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing for long periods)
