This position is for 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
Job Duties
Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant: Provide services to remedy abuse, neglect and exploitation of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Assist Case Workers with casework services. Working hours will be 1:00 p - 9:30 p.
Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as part of the social service side plan.
Participates as a member of the professional team to plan services for clients.
Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement, etc. records.
Makes referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca Search, etc.
Assists with the completion of various packets within the agency.
Assists with the transportation of children.
Assists with child and family visitation and teaches appropriate parenting and household management skills.
Assists with other administrative support functions, including drafting correspondences, copying, faxing, email, etc.
Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma and three (3) years experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration or general business OR an Associate Degree and one (1) year experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration or general business.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
