As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint Screening in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour
Job Schedule : DayTime Tue 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM; Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, screening visitors, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identification, processing visitors, issuing passes when appropriate, and documenting arrivals and departures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and/or public officials as needed.
Monitor cameras, doors, gates, and other access control systems to help support security‑related operations and report unusual activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security‑related concerns, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS/DHS COLA requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
