Job Description
This role will maintain public areas within the Worcester Visitor Center and surrounding grounds, performing a variety of manual labor tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, equipment maintenance, and customer service duties.

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains public areas such as restrooms, campgrounds, parking lots, trails, and beaches.

Performs specialized manual labor tasks as required.

Installs, repairs, and maintains signs (regulatory, historic, informational) by digging holes and installing supports.

Plants, transplants, prunes, trims, fertilizes trees, flowers, shrubs; seeds lawns and gardens; applies insecticides and pesticides; cuts grass, rakes leaves, waters plants as needed.

Loads and unloads trucks and supplies, uses dollies, stores items in stockrooms, and performs periodic inventories.

Prevents damage to equipment and tools by washing, inspecting, tightening, lubricating, and sharpening cutting tools.

Repaints guard rails, sets up traffic control equipment, moves equipment, sweeps, collects trash.

Operates handheld power tools and attaches mowing, landscaping, and snow‑removal attachments to tractors and trucks.

Operates light vehicles and trucks related to on‑site activities.

Manages camp registration office, issues admission tickets, receives receipts, and maintains simple records.

Qualifications

First consideration given to applicants who apply within the first 14 days.

Minimum requirement: at least six months of full‑time or equivalent part‑time experience in manual labor related to general construction or maintenance work.

Salary
Yearly: $44,292.82 - $57,197.14
