Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Analyst (Power BI Developer)
to design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, and SQL, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and intuitive BI solutions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with business, engineering, and analytics partners to drive data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain
advanced Power BI dashboards and reports
that provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Build and optimize
semantic data models
to support scalable, consistent, and high-performing BI solutions.
Write, optimize, and maintain
DAX measures and calculated columns
to support complex business logic and KPIs.
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
Partner with business stakeholders to
understand requirements , define KPIs, and translate needs into effective BI solutions.
Develop and maintain
SQL queries and views
to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple data sources.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
Support ongoing dashboard enhancements, performance tuning, and user adoption.
Document data models, business logic, KPIs, and report definitions to support governance and reuse.
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with
Power BI , including dashboard design, report development, and workspace management.
Proven expertise in
data modeling
(star schema, fact/dimension modeling, performance optimization).
Advanced proficiency in
DAX
for measures, time intelligence, and complex calculations.
Strong
SQL
skills, including writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
Experience analyzing datasets and translating data insights into clear, business-friendly narratives.
Ability to
translate business requirements into technical BI solutions
with minimal guidance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with enterprise or centralized semantic models.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and access controls in Power BI.
Experience with large-scale or enterprise BI reporting environments.
Exposure to Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Lake) is a plus.
Strong documentation and presentation skills for executive or leadership audiences.
