Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is currently seeking an
MIS Clerk
for Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Must be organized and able to work independently.
Strong computer skills and competence in the use of basic office equipment.
Ability to handle multiple due dates, time restrictions, and attention to detail.
REPORTS TO
Special Education Administrators
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares, inputs, and retrieves student information using the student records system.
Updates timelines and calendars for participating districts.
Provides case information to teachers.
Identifies errors and assists teachers and staff in correcting errors in student data system.
Ensures student records are transferred appropriately.
Responds to a wide variety of inquiries from a range of stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains the IEP reporting database program with efficiency.
Prepares and runs reports for administration and staff.
Creates setup for beginning of the year in Bright Sped.
Maintains all files in accordance with TBLSEC guidelines.
Attends yearly and as needed training for MIS.
Answers phone calls and questions.
Downloads information from Bright Sped to SpedPro.
Uploads and sends FTP files.
Maintains database of all incoming paperwork and data daily.
Processes all incoming IEP documents and student files daily.
Keeps accurate and well maintained files.
Contacts other school districts to obtain IEP paperwork for students who transfer to the TBLSEC.
Keeps track of outstanding files.
Reports timely and accurate data to SpedPro and KSDE.
Imports and inputs data into SpedPro.
Checks and corrects errors in SpedPro.
Attends required trainings as needed by KSDE.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Handles correspondence and answers multi-phone line system.
Manages supplies and places orders.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in the work environment.
Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job is required.
Must have physical stamina to maintain job responsibilities.
Requires occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and turning.
EVALUATION
Performance effectiveness will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Kansas Statutes and Board of Education Policy.
