Detailing Project Coordinator : GPAC is partnered with a well-established steel manufacturing company. They are searching for a Steel Detailing Manager to coordinate contracted detailers around the country. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire an organized Steel Detailer with strong computer skills with an emphasis on coordinating and checking. As a Detailing manager, you will be responsible for delegating work to detailers, scheduling, submitting drawings and models to our fabrication shop and erection crews, and checking other detailers work to ensure quality. You will also be asked to detail from time to time, if deadlines need to be met, change orders quickly detailed.
Company : Our client company fabricates large structural steel projects up to $50 million for the commercial construction industry. They operate along the Atlantic seaboard and as far east as Illinois focusing on large steel projects up to 25K tons.
Steel Detailing Manager Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinate contracted detailers.
Schedule and delegate work.
Liaison between Project Managers and detailing department.
Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication.
Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings.
Review RFIs.
Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction.
Background in steel construction.
Associate degree with a focus in architecture or construction management.
