Music Publishing Operations Specialist (Level II)
Location: New York (On-site, hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)

Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and self‑motivated professional with 2+ years of experience in operations or data management. This role focuses on managing publishing operations, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting process improvements through automation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement scalable automation solutions and improve operational processes
Research and verify publishing ownership data using internal and third‑party tools
Manage day‑to‑day publishing operations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Perform data ingestion, validation, and quality assurance
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve data issues
Monitor and report on operational metrics to identify trends and improvements
Maintain documentation of workflows, processes, and SOPs
Handle external partner queries and route them appropriately
Conduct quality checks on reports before distribution
Support ongoing data quality initiatives and track issue resolution
Requirements
2+ years of experience in operations, data management, or similar roles
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with large datasets
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Skills
Experience in music publishing or related industry
Understanding of publishing data (royalties, metadata, ownership)
Familiarity with tools and formats like CWR, DDEX
Experience with automation tools, Python, or SQL
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle pressure
Manage high‑volume operational tasks efficiently
Support automation and AI‑driven process improvements
Ensure accuracy and consistency in data and reporting
Maintain responsiveness and reliability in team collaboration
Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Work within a collaborative team supporting global music operations
