Job Overview
On a part‑time, limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a variety of students.

Essential Functions

Execute detailed course syllabus in accordance with College curriculum plan.

Maintain effective and timely communication with students and lead course faculty throughout the course.

Evaluate student achievement of course objectives and submit grades within the parameters and timelines established.

Participate in the course and teacher effectiveness evaluation process.

Participate in faculty meetings.

Report and be accountable to course coordinator.

Orientation and scheduled meetings with faculty are mandatory.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position.

Required Experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.

Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Master’s prepared in the area that you are teaching and prior academic experience.

For nursing specialty areas, a current Ohio RN license; otherwise, if applicable, an active license in your area of teaching is required.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $5,148 per teaching assignment. UC offers an exceptional benefits package that may include tuition remission for eligible dependents, retirement plans (OPERS, STRS, or ARP), and comprehensive health coverage. Additional benefits may be available depending on FTE status.
