Job Description
The Certified Registered Central Service Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, preparation, and packaging of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment. This role requires familiarity with the correct materials and sterilization methods for all instrument sets and trays, as well as knowledge of a case cart preparation system. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while standing for prolonged periods and performing heavy lifting.
Schedule
This position is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Ensure proper decontamination and sterilization processes of all surgical instruments.
Prepare and package instrument sets and trays following established guidelines.
Utilize basic computer skills to operate the Instrument Tracking system (ABACUS/MICROSYSTEMS).
Lift and push sterilization carts and trays as required.
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational demands.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
High School Diploma required.
Preferred: 10 years of experience with Orthopedics and Neuro instruments.
