Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, Day Shift, Outpatient Imaging

Adventist Outpatient Imaging Services seeks to hire an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical assessments and produce high quality vascular sonographic images to provide accurate data for the Interventional Radiologists and Radiologists. Enter preliminary findings and impression into documentation systems.

Perform other non-invasive vascular tests including portable studies as necessary.

Use computer systems (Cerner, Viewpoint, McKesson PACS and Hconnect) correctly to document patient information.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit/department. Assume responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all patients in the sonographic area/department.

Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided. Anticipate patient’s needs and exceed expectations.

Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and complete associated forms or phone calls.

Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations. Maintain schedule and prioritize exams.

Demonstrate cost effectiveness in the use of supplies and equipment as indicated by minimal wastage of supplies.

Participate in departmental PI initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school or GED.

Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical sonography program.

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; new graduate applicants welcomed.

RVT required, or must be obtained within 2 years of start date.

RDMS required.

Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule
Employment Type: Full Time Float

Hours per Week: 36 Hours

Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00AM-5:00PM; 2 Days in Rockville and 2 Days in White Oak.

Shift Type: Day Shift

Pay Range
$32.17 - $55.76
