
Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians across shifts, including managing performance and scheduling. Conduct daily safety meetings, audits, inspections of equipment and work areas. Lead JSA meeting before activities. Conduct post shutdown meetings before restart to ensure completeness of work.
24/7 Operational Support:
Provide emergency response, analyze breakdown trends, and ensure continuous machinery operation (OEE).
Preventive/Predictive Maintenance:
Develop, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime. Plan shutdowns, coordinate contractor’s schedules, ensure all necessary equipment will arrive on time. Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians based on priority, skill level, and workload. Evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge. Develop and implement maintenance procedures, protocols, and policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Ensure correctness of parts ordered for replacements.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations (OSHA), company policies, and quality standards (e.g., FDA/USDA).
Technical Troubleshooting:
Lead repairs for mechanical, electrical, controls programming, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
Inventory & Documentation:
Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate records in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair costs to identify trends, track performance, and forecast future maintenance needs.
Education And Experience Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical vocational certification preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to work under pressure. Embrace a service minded approach to the position.
Strong expertise in PLC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
5+ years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, with 2-4+ years in a leadership role.
High-noise industrial environment with exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
This role often requires being
on-call
to address critical breakdowns during off-hours.
