The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and related records. This role works closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies, maintain compliance with company policies, and support month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely.
Perform invoice coding and ensure proper general ledger allocation.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (2-way/3-way match).
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (check, ACH, wire).
Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate AP records.
Obtain appropriate approvals and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Assist with month-end close, audits, and reporting as needed.
Support 1099 preparation and W-9 collection.
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
25+ years of accounts payable experience.
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes.
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, NetSuite, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a high-volume or multi-entity environment.
Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal controls.
Manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting experience.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour
