Seton Catholic College Prep is a Catholic, co‑educational, comprehensive college preparatory high school. Seton Catholic opened its doors in a brand-new facility in September 2016 and has grown steadily since its founding in 2009, now serving approximately 300 students. As an Archdiocesan 912 high school, Seton Catholic is committed to developing the whole student through higher learning, deeper faith, and stronger character, offering a rigorous academic program that includes numerous Advanced Placement courses.

Position Overview
Seton Catholic is seeking a dynamic and mission‑driven Athletic Trainer and Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year beginning in August. This unique role combines responsibilities in student health and athletic performance with classroom instruction in science‑related classes and/or health. The ideal candidate will support the physical well‑being of student‑athletes while also inspiring students in the classroom, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the human body, health, and wellness. This individual will play a vital role in fostering a safe, competitive, and faith‑centered athletic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Athletic Trainer Duties

Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student‑athletes.

Coordinate care with physicians, parents, and coaching staff.

Develop and implement athletic training programs and emergency action plans.

Maintain accurate health and injury records.

Support game and practice coverage for school athletic programs.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teach courses in science‑related classes and/or Health.

Design engaging, standards‑based lessons that connect content to real‑world applications.

Integrate hands‑on and experiential learning opportunities.

Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, accountability, and student growth.

Required Skills

Commitment to working with high school students in a faith‑based environment grounded in Catholic values.

Passion for both student health/athletics and science/health education.

Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, coaches, and colleagues.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction and program management.

Active respect for diversity and commitment to Catholic social teaching.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).

Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) required.

Washington State Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) in Secondary Education (Preferred).

CPR/AED certification required.

Salary Range
$52,000–$90,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
