Industrial Maintenance Technician – NOW HIRING

Position Summary: This position supports the build, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated machinery and industrial control systems. The role requires strong mechanical assembly skills, experience with machine building, and the ability to assemble and set up control panels. Candidates will work closely with engineering, electrical technicians, and other assembly teams to bring automation equipment from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Building & Mechanical Assembly
Assemble mechanical sub‑assemblies, frames, and complete automated machines.
Install linear rails, bearings, actuators, gearboxes, motors, drive systems, and pneumatic components.
Perform precision mechanical alignments using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and torque tools.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
Control Panel Assembly & Wiring
Build and install industrial control panels from schematics and panel layouts.
Route, terminate, and label wiring following industry standards and safety practices.
Install PLC components, sensors, relays, power supplies, breakers, and terminal blocks.
Conduct basic electrical tests such as continuity, polarity, and I/O verification.
Troubleshooting & Startup
Diagnose mechanical issues including alignment problems, component failures, and pneumatic leaks.
Support troubleshooting of electrical issues such as wiring faults, sensor issues, and panel errors.
Assist with system integration and machine commissioning on the production floor.
Work collaboratively with engineering to resolve startup issues and optimize machine performance.
Maintenance Support
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and machinery.
Replace worn or damaged mechanical components and assemblies.
Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and findings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
