QA Tech -- Morning Shift

The Quality Assurance Technician provides support to the Quality Department in maintaining quality initiatives, process control, continuous improvement, and resolving quality issues. Under readily available supervision, performs repetitive inspection following standardized methods and procedures. Visually inspects/checks products against fixed samples. Maintains quality documents. Visually inspects and releases labels and components against standards.
Essential Job Duties
Visual observation of daily plant operations
Monitor product to comply to quality standards
Product Organoleptic testing
Perform checks on finished good, food process procedures, and cleaning procedures
Ensure compliance with quality specifications & procedures and sanitary specifications & procedures
Report non-conformances to QA Supervisor
Follow and enforce GMP’s inside the manufacturing area
Obtain product samples during work shift for lab testing
Oversee the flow of production to ensure there is no contamination of food products
Complete daily activity logs with findings & recommendations
Assist in Document Control
Ability to work well with others across departments
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of a 10-hour shift
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Morning Shift is Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm, with occasional overtime. The starting pay rate is $21.25.
