Winston Preparatory School is seeking a

full-time

Speech-Language Pathologist

to join the Marin County campus team in San Rafael (Marin County), starting the 2026/2027 school year.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and immerse yourself in our highly individualized educational model for students with specific learning differences, such as ADHD, dyslexia, and NVLD, and grow into a long-term role within our amazing school community.

The hired candidate will support students’ growth in a student-centered, skills-focused way using best practices and a differentiated, individualized curriculum. The role requires building and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty while also addressing the social‑emotional needs of each student.

Winston Preparatory School is a co-ed private day school for 4th-12th-grade students with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities, expressive or receptive language disorders, and executive functioning difficulties. Our mission is to facilitate the independence and meaningful participation of students with specific learning disorders through a Continuous Feedback System that develops skill acquisition and the Qualities of a Sustainable and Independent Learner. Essential Tasks

Instruct students in their greatest areas of need using a variety of techniques, such as multi-sensory learning and repetition, to reinforce learning and to meet students’ varying needs and interests

Provide decoding, encoding, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and writing remediation in one-to-one and classroom settings

Instruct students in 1:1 settings and group settings

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate

Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students

Meet with parents to discuss their children’s progress and to determine priorities for their children and their individualized educational needs

Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, school policies, and administrative regulations

Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students

Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities

Perform related work as required

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

At least 2 years of school experience is strongly preferred

Strong communication, organization, and student management skills

Flexible, collaborative, committed, and eager to learn our student-centered model

The salary range for this position is $85,000-125,000, commensurate with education and experience.
