Position Overview
The Massage Therapist at Edgewood Tahoe is responsible for delivering exceptional services at our prestigious Forbes‑rated spa. As a member of our world‑class wellness team, you will provide luxurious massage services tailored to our discerning clientele, ensuring an unparalleled relaxation and rejuvenation experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, and specialty therapies.
Assess guest needs and recommend appropriate treatments for relaxation, pain relief, and overall well‑being.
Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service in a luxury spa setting.
Ensure treatment rooms are impeccably prepared, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Uphold Forbes Travel Guide standards and spa protocols to deliver five‑star experiences.
Educate guests on post‑massage care, wellness techniques, and spa products.
Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines, including proper draping techniques.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain active licensure and certifications required by state and industry standards.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high‑end spa, resort, or luxury hospitality setting preferred.
Proficiency in multiple massage modalities; additional certifications (e.g., reflexology, aromatherapy) are a plus.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide personalized guest experiences.
Commitment to ongoing education and mastery of new massage techniques and wellness trends.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
