Description
MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital that serves rural communities in Clayton County and surrounding areas with ambulance and emergency services. The emergency department operates 24/7 with board‑certified physicians and advanced practitioners. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center certified by the Iowa Department of Public Health. We are looking to hire a Speech Therapist to join our team.
Responsibilities
Plan, administer, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM & R Department, for all patient age groups.
Possess the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol.

General Requirements
Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from accredited program.
Certification by American Speech and Hearing Association or eligibility to be certified.
Certificate of Clinical Competency once fully licensed.
Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as a Speech Therapist. Employee may be within their Clinical Fellowship year if able to meet ASHA requirements for completion.
