Shift:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – 4 × 10‑hour shifts, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm (no weekends)

Compensation:

$23.23 – $31.26 per hour, budgeted 40 hours per week.

As a Medical Assistant, you will support the practice with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient patient flow and high‑quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort them into exam rooms.

Assist with routine and non‑routine procedures under the supervision of MD, NP, or PA.

Provide services such as wound care, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and other procedures as ordered.

Act as a chaperone when required.

Take vital signs, document results, and maintain accurate records.

Coordinate room rotations and assist with scheduling and phone calls.

Receive test results, notify patients of follow‑up, and communicate findings to providers.

Clean instruments and equipment, maintain sterilizer competency, and follow infection control guidelines.

Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate critical patient information to nursing or provider staff.

Ensure timely and accurate communication of schedule changes with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, staff, and patients.

Cross‑train to cover front‑desk functions, including patient check‑in/out and email communications.

Assist in onboarding new employees, provide mentorship, and review protocols and workflows.

Collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor on performance evaluations and competency reviews.

Participate in annual flu clinics and promote a culture of safety, following CDC hand‑hygiene guidelines, PPE usage, and proper hazardous material disposal.

Perform other duties as required.

Work the required weekend and holiday schedule (if applicable).

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred: completion of a Medical Assistant program).

Experience:

Clinical setting preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support) required; CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) preferred.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service skills.

Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of medical procedures.

Good organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work successfully within a team.

Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and English grammar.

Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.

Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions.

Proficiency in electronic medical records, telephone and e‑mail communication, and other required computer software.

Work Schedule
