Business Connect Navigator Team Leader II
Business Connect focuses on delivering Truist to a segment of Commercial Community Bank clients through a virtual delivery environment, providing an easier method of contact, expertise, and servicing. The Team Leader will manage a geographically non‑centralized team of Business Connect Navigators I and II, monitoring all aspects of their productivity and workload including complex request completion, fraud processing, due diligence and compliance requirement processing, referral volume, and internal partner follow‑through.

Key responsibilities include:

Align with and embody Truist’s purpose, mission, and value statement and the Business Connect value proposition of “Ease, Expertise, Care.”

Drive productivity and responsive resolution of service requests, specifically more complex requests assigned to Navigators.

Coach and motivate the team to achieve business objectives and results, fostering an environment that embeds mission‑purpose‑values into daily interactions and performance management.

Manage teammate capacity and workflows, level‑loading across Navigators as needed.

Understand technology components essential to the virtual model and promptly elevate issues to minimize client impact.

Maintain positive partnerships with Business Connect Squad Leaders, product and solution partners, operational partners, and support center teams.

Create, encourage, and support an inclusive and energizing environment to inspire engaged teammates.

Identify and recruit talent suitable for Navigator I and II roles for future growth.

Maintain awareness of Truist capabilities, solutions, policies, and processes for appropriate mentorship and training.

Focus on risk management activities through leading compliance and ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Manage and elevate concerns promptly, aligning mitigations with policy guidelines.

Partner with senior management to assess operational challenges and analyze needed strategic changes.

Coordinate teammate onboarding and new‑hire training facilitation for the Navigator team.

Span of control: approximately 10 direct reports.

High degree of decision‑making autonomy with impacts across the department.

Lead ad‑hoc projects, provide change management support, and undertake special tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Seven or more years of related financial services or business banking experience, including treasury operations, sales, and/or credit operations, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Three or more years of management experience.

Subject‑matter expert in business banking products, lending, cash cycle, sales process, and current market, industry, and business knowledge.

Demonstrated conflict resolution and relationship‑building skills with clients, team members, management, and partners.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Advanced knowledge of related systems and processes.

Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and virtual connectivity software.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in business acumen, interpersonal savvy, priority setting, handling complex interactions, and problem‑solving.

Benefits
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits.
