Accounts Payable Specialist
We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team supporting a fast-paced data center and managed services environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
Execute full-cycle AP: invoice batching, coding (expense & PO), approvals, and payment runs
Resolve PO exceptions, invoice discrepancies, and vendor inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements and support month-end close activities
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Partner with accounting and operations teams to improve processes and cost tracking
Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong attention to detail with high-volume data entry accuracy
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands
Professional communication with internal teams and external vendors
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process efficiency
Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently when needed
Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
Qualifications
2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Experience in high-volume, service-based or technical environments preferred
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel
Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and with others
Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
Proficiency in using excel and Windows-based computer applications.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience particularly in the data center industry
Workday experience
2+ years prior AP experience
