Clerk Ms Attendance
Purpose To oversee and assume responsibility for the attendance process by recording accurate student attendance, organizing documentation for absences, and making referrals to the social worker when attendance concerns reach certain thresholds.
Essential Job Functions
Use a student database to monitor the teacher recording of attendance.
Manually update attendance for tardy students and those leaving for appointments.
Record absence details in the student database.
Produce a daily absence list each morning.
Coordinate the automated and manual processes of contacting the guardians of absent students.
Prepare letters to guardians regarding attendance concerns utilizing mail merge function.
Produce reports from the student database regarding attendance.
Coordinate the referral process for students with concerning levels of absence or tardiness according to township policies.
Collaborate with social worker for student needs.
Collaborate with student success team to increase student attendance rates.
Cover for other Student Service office staff as needed due to breaks or absences.
Assist with occasional after-school events such as orientation or awards programs.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Equipment Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rate $15.75 per hour. Work Schedule 7.5 hours per day. 185 days per year.
