As a Land Manager, you will mentor and lead a team of land professionals in the acquisition and negotiation of land and property rights for pipeline and facilities construction in addition to the operation and maintenance of existing pipeline and facilities. You will collaborate with your team to facilitate quality relationships with landowners and Williams partners. The ability to build and nurture relationships and connect with all levels of the organization are keys to success!
Responsibilities and Expectations
Collaborates with others to ensure strategy aligns with the business need and enterprise strategy
Develops and maintains metrics
Directs and assists the team in research/preparation of land related contracts
Oversees land strategy, negotiations, and execution to ensure timely delivery for capital expansion projects
Handles meaningful investigations and assumes responsibility for interpretation of business aspects for project success
Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for direct employees
Develops/handles budgets, plans and forecasts; conducts regular cost analysis
Develops and implements strategy to ensure that all land record data is inputted into record system
Collaborates with internal partners such as attorneys, project managers, environmental, regulatory, and operations personnel
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in related areas such as right-of-way or land functions
Preferred: Senior Right of Way Professional certification; completion of at least one approved IRWA (International Right Way of Way Association)
