Facilities Supervisor

Oversee all technical services provided by staff, organize and plan work, supervise the work and career development of staff, and participate in strategic planning for staffing and project needs for all sites at MKC.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assign, schedule and prioritize work assignments for Facilities Department. Ensure that tasks are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.

Ensure proper training from a skill and safety standpoint for all maintenance technicians, custodians, and housekeeping staff.

Responsible for coordinating facility-related tasks in relation to the Warehouse Sale and Artisan Craft Festival as well as assisting with the preparation and breakdown of events.

Charged with the coordination of service and repair of company-owned passenger vehicles, as well as ensuring driver safety.

Supports the Estate Team (Lawns & Grounds) equipment, irrigation, pond & utility oversight, and assistance.

Troubleshoot, repair HVAC, manufacturing equipment, utilities, interior and exterior lighting, as well as any departmental issues.

Administrative tasks to support work task system (FMX) as well as paycom for payroll and NetSuite for any open PO's documentation.

Participate in energy reduction, electric and gas and assessments for the site to help reduce overall cost and consumption.

Assist management with offsite leased property.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises the Maintenance, Custodial, Housekeeping and vendor/contractor staff in coordination with the Facilities Manager. Responsibilities include interviewing and making hiring recommendation s; instructing and training on proper work methods, and assigning, planning, and scheduling work; as well as conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

High School Diploma required.

Vocational or Technical training (HVAC/R) required.

3 to 5 years of supervisory experience with a diverse team and skillset required.

More than 5 years of experience in a similar position required.

Special Requirements

Driver's License

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Support of yearly company special events (Barn Sale, Artisan Festival and Warehouse Sales)

Equipment Used
Computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, calculator, hand tools, power tools, forklift, pallet jack and grinder.

Computer Software
Computer Software: (Basic) - Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, NetSuite and MKC CMMS

Safety
Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Gloves and ability to pass a physical exam for a respirator

Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.

High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.

Exerts more than 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Environmental Conditions
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including temperature changes, noise, and moving mechanical parts.

Salary Range
Salary Range:

$67,000.00-$70,000/Annually
