Milling Supervisor - Arbuckle, CA

Work That Feeds The World
As a Milling Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of ADM's Rice Mill in Arbuckle, CA — keeping the facility running safely, sanitarily, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HARPC, HACCP). You will train and supervise both salaried and hourly employees across operations and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

Lead the safe, efficient daily operation of the Rice Mill across safety, quality, and production

Supervise, train, and develop both hourly and salaried team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Interview and hire production staff as needed

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to drive consistent, optimum efficiency

Partner with the Commercial team to develop the milling schedule and meet contract deadlines

Assist in troubleshooting production challenges, optimizing yields, and controlling costs

Support third-party audits and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HARPC)

Help implement safety programs, including Loss Control Standards (LCS), across the facility

Report directly to the Plant Manager and contribute to plant-wide goal setting and achievement

Qualifications

At least three years of production and one year of supervisory exposure in a food processing or similar environment

Demonstrated commitment to plant health and safety, with experience leading safety programs

Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety frameworks such as HACCP or HARPC

Strong communication skills — written and verbal — and the ability to lead through coaching, conflict resolution, and direct feedback

Technical competence in mechanics, instrumentation, controls, and utility systems

Proficiency with computer systems and performance-tracking tools

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements
This role involves working in an active production environment. You should be comfortable climbing stairs, periods of standing and sitting, working at heights and in confined spaces, bending, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.

Salary and Incentives
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $70,400.00 - $131,300.00. The total compensation package will also include an annual bonus as part of the salaried incentive plan.
