The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Administrative Program Manager 1 to oversee essential business operations that support the agency’s financial, purchasing, inventory, and compliance functions. This role requires a dependable professional who can manage complex administrative systems, supervise staff, and ensure accuracy across multiple operational areas.

Required Experience and Education
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience toward the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties
Supervise and perform administrative functions across accounting, purchasing, inventory, property control, fleet, mail operations, and professional contractor coordination.
Lead three staff members; manage leave, evaluations, training, and disciplinary recommendations.
Oversee key financial processes including petty cash, Imprest accounts, deposits, reconciliations, and required reporting.
Manage Inmate Banking and canteen operations, including deposits, disbursements, inventory, and sales reconciliation.
Process purchasing requests, renew licenses/certifications, and support Visa procurement card transactions.
Conduct property control and fleet audits; maintain safety, compliance, and ORM documentation.
Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and agency staff to resolve operational issues and ensure accurate documentation.
Position Specific Details
Work Location: Bridge City Center for Youth in Bridge City, Louisiana.
Appointment Type: Full time, Probational.
The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c).
