Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in the PACU and act as circulating RN for ortho and general surgery cases
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including vital signs, airway management, pain control, and nausea
Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; document progress in the medical record
Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to the appropriate unit; communicate findings and plan with the surgical and anesthesia teams
Administer medications as ordered; manage monitoring equipment and devices used in recovery
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth handoffs and timely patient progression through recovery
Requirements
Current unrestricted Colorado RN license
ACLS and BLS certifications
PACU and OR circulation skills, with experience in ortho and general surgery cases
Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting on a day shift
Demand that the candidate reside at least 65 miles away from the facility; local travelers will not be considered
